python-amqplib software package provides simple non-threaded Python AMQP client library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-amqplib
python-amqplib is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-amqplib package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-amqplib *
You will get with python-amqplib package name, version, architecture and description in a table
